About the Artist
Artistry Rooted in Connection
My work is an exploration of the subject and the subtle power of the background that enhances it. Working primarily in pastels, alongside a background in oils and acrylics, I dedicate my practice to capturing the true spirit of dogs, birds, wildlife, and natural scenes.
Every piece is an exercise in observation, a skill honed over a lifetime of unique professional chapters. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas, my career took me from commercial fashion illustration to Human Resources and corporate training, where I mastered the art of reading people and listening to their needs.
Upon retiring, I channeled that deep understanding of communication into dog training, educating owners and mentoring future trainers to read and interpret canine behavior. Today, my art brings these worlds together: a lifetime of studying form, human connection, and animal behavior, captured on canvas.
